Food is my passion

Food is my passion. Food is everyone's passion.

The love of food brings people together from all around the world. It comes in different shapes, different scents and different flavors that fit different gustatory. As an Emirati woman coming from a cuisine that is combined and shaped by many different cuisines such as Indian and Western.

Food is not a way to quiet our hunger, it is unique in a way that represents our personalities and identities. It is common that hot spices, for example, represents a brave and a strong vibrant personality. Although, it follows Asian countries and their recipes. China's uniqueness shines through their food and tea manners, their identity is shown in their way of serving a cup of tea.

Food is a culture in itself. It is shaped by others and at the same time, it impacts other cultures as well. Most of the time we can recognize the same ingredients in different recipes. This is the embodiment of food's culture. For instance, rice comes in different forms, which depends on the way it is served or cooked. Sometimes, it is served as a side dish, or a soup. It also, comes steamed, or even fried and sometimes it is a dessert.

This leads us to the choice of taste because we are different people, we favor different things. In Arab countries, they eat camel and lizards specifically, uromastyx which other countries might find it distasteful. Asian countries, for example, eat frogs, crocodiles which other countries might not find it pleasant.

All of this knowledge in food has led me to provide the modern, the old, the common and the distinctive in one plate, which is my plate. This plate will provide a journey on the history of food through the many different recipes. It will also provide how we can always change recipes to suit our liking or to discover more mysterious tastes that we might come to be fond of. From luxury to simplicity. It is the simple recipes for a luxury taste.
